چکیده

ABSTRACT We report on observations of PSR B1508 + 55’s scintillation at the Effelsberg 100-m telescope spanning from early 2020 to 2022. In autumn 2020, close time pulsar was predicted cross echoes in its pulse profile, a sudden transition arcs peculiar stripe-like features parabolic arclets observed. Getting Its Kicks: a Vlba Parallax for the Hyperfast Pulsar B1508+55

The highest velocity neutron stars establish stringent constraints on natal kicks, asymmetries in supernova core collapse, and the evolution of close binary systems. Here we present the first results of a long-term pulsar astrometry program using the VLBA. We measure a proper motion and parallax for the pulsar B1508+55, leading to model-independent estimates of its distance (2.37 −0.20 kpc) and...

Study of the LISM using Pulsar Scintillation

We present here the results from an extensive scintillation study of twenty pulsars in the dispersion measure (DM) range 3 − 35 pc cm carried out using the Ooty Radio Telescope, to investigate the distribution of ionized material in the local interstellar medium (LISM). Our analysis reveals several anomalies in the scattering strength, which suggest that the distribution of scattering material ...

Pulsar Scintillation and the Local Bubble

We present here the results from an extensive scintillation study of twenty pulsars in the dispersion measure (DM) range 3− 35 pc cm−3 carried out using the Ooty Radio Telescope at 327 MHz, to investigate the distribution of ionized material in the local interstellar medium. Observations were made during the period January 1993 to August 1995, in which the dynamic scintillation spectra of these...

Diffractive Scintillation of the Pulsar PSR B1259-63

PSR B1259–63 is in a highly eccentric 3.4 yr orbit around the Be-star SS2883. The system is located in the direction of the Sagittarius-Carina spiral arm at a distance of ∼1.5 kpc. We have made scintillation observations of the pulsar far from periastron at 4.8 GHz and 8.4 GHz, determining the diffractive bandwidth, ∆νd, and timescale, ∆td, at both frequencies. We find no dependency on orbital ...
